Please send to Clerk Susan Taylor (by e-mail or U.S. mail) both your Meeting’s or Worship Group’s responses to the queries and your discernment thus far on the relationship of SEYM to FUM. "I would like to have them by the end of the second week in March at the latest in order that there will be time to post them on the SEYM website and summarize them for Yearly Meeting sessions."

"During Yearly Meeting sessions 2005, Friends in St. Petersburg Monthly Meeting submitted a letter bringing to our attention their concern about Friends United Meeting's (FUM) personnel policy. As you will readily see in the enclosed materials, the policy is highly discriminatory…

In effect, the policy denies all who are not married or celibate the opportunity of sharing spiritual gifts or following leadings of the Spirit within the structure and support of FUM"
